Farewells and farewells, the impending big move and funny dreams.

And so it's been almost a month since I got back to OZ and man there have been some significant changes. Firstly the only other girl(the rest are oldies) in my office which I'm close to, Michelle, has resigned. We were only chatting earlier in January telling each other when we were gonna quit and she was supposed to go only later part of the year. But well she had a better job offer, so might as well go for it. Anyway here's a shot we took at the farewell dinner we had for her a couple of weeks ago:
Starting from behind me and going clockwise: Boss's partner Joanne, Boss John, Sales Manager Terry, his wife Jan, Receptionist Michelle, Workshop Alex, Accounts Wendy and her husband Trevor.

And just to round up some other events, there was Alex's pre-birthday celebration on Monday where we had steamboat and wangwei's farewell dinner at Out of India last night.(Ladies, if you're reading this, can I grab the photos of you all soon?) :p And of course the more important news is of course the news that darling found a job already. He's a QA/Food Technician for University Meat in Carlton, just smack next to Melbourne city. His boss is pretty easy going and his working hours are pretty flexible for the moment since he's still staying in Gippy.

So the job news came pretty suddenly and now it finally hit me that the big move to city will be coming soon. It's a funny feeling, I've been yearning a couple of years ago for darling to graduate and get a job in melbourne so we can move down and now that its here, it's like its all too soon. I mean "Hey, after all I've been studying/living/working in Gippy for 4 years already, so of course there will be a feeling of sadness." And of course the laziness of having look for a place near the city, to pack and unpack, and to look for another job sinks in as well. Then the "future in-laws" problem still lingers. They are hoping their precious prince can finally move down to city by himself, but of course that's not gonna happen unless we're not together. While I can finally look forward to life with just Jasper and darling, there's always still the slightest possibility of them coming to break the bubble. :(

On the other hand, I've been dreaming quite a bit about my childhood ex boyfriend(the 5-year relationship). When I got back to Singapore that time, I found out that he's getting married this Nov. It wasn't that it bothered me, but just a funny feeling set in. I went to google about the dream and found some answers from Dream Moods:

Ex-Boyfriend

To see an old ex-boyfriend from childhood in your dream, refers to a freer, less encumbered relationship. The dream servers to bring you back to a time where the responsibilities of adulthood (or marriage) didn't interfere with the spontaneity of romance. You need to recapture the excitement, freedom, and vitality of youth that is lacking in your present relationship.

Is it true or what? I'm not sure, possibly to some extent, yes. News of marriages and proposals have been revolving too much around me this year and of course there's a pang of jealousy to some sense. But then again, I myself am not ready to actually get married yet. Darling and I are probably emotionally but not yet financially stable. So the promise in a couple of years sounds good enough for me. But then the problem of the King and the Queen who prefer that he only weds only at the age of 40 still lingers too. Well with that said, I'm sure The Lord will help us overcome the obstacles, just like he how he answered my prayer in that darling get a good job soon. And I'll keep praying to him. ;)
