Easter trip back to Malaysia and Singapore

Tubbs and I decided to use the Easter holidays this year to make a trip back to Malaysia / Singapore. It was not the usual holiday back to only visit family and friends, but more for getting some wedding preps done as well as familiarizing and spending time with the future-in-laws.

I was also really happy this time to be able to get more acquainted with the future-in-laws. They even went with us to choose our wedding bands. And it was the first time I visited Tubb's home in SG even though we have been together for 6 years+ now. We also got our pre-wedding photo-shoot done, met up with my bridesmaids to sort out their dresses, and got my wedding and evening gown sorted out.

Crazy shopping day spent with mum and chaboh Len.
Chaboh Len and I at the bridal studio to pick out gowns.
Stoney, Aunty Margaret's dog - she's a friend of mum's.
Walking down Chinatown again in Singapore was nostalgic.
At Crazy World Cafe, Dan bro's sister and bro-in-law's restaurant
Yup that's the future-in-laws, a shot that I thought I would never have gotten
Much time was also spent catching up with friends whom I only get to see only once a year or two. It was the usual shuffle in between of Singapore and Malaysia. But I spent less time in SG this year as compared to the last due to the things that needed to get done, and so the schedule was really packed.

With high sch besties Wen and Ren
Tigger and Pooh! One of my Bridesmaids!
With mum and my beloved Niece and Nephew
With Chaboh Liliz on her birthday!
With Pal S.K, Thanks for the seafood treat!
Kitty and Pooh! One of my uni mates.
I organised meet-ups for lunch and dinner in one day with different friends just so we get to meet up, in however short an amount of time we had. I was also really happy to see my beloved niece and nephew, they just grow up so fast and time really flies! Also big thanks to my Pal who treated me to yummy seafood at East Coast.

Marina Bay Sands Hotel, newest attraction in SG
Dar and me inside the hotel cum shopping mall
My sister-in-law and me at Marina Bay Sands
Marina Ba Sands Hotel interior
And hehe, I think we acted like "tourists" back there as well, visiting the newly opened Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Shopping and Casino. There was a fee to pay to take a ride to the roof top viewing area with the swimming pool and stuff. But we decided we'll do that end year instead, when we go back again. And if time permits, I'd also like to make a trip to Universal Studios!

And so in that short amount of time and the things we did, I'd say it was quite a fruitful trip! :)

Meeting Jaelyn again and a first party night of Wii.

We met up with Janice and Joseph last friday. Almost 7 months since we last met as Janice went to the U.S with their daughter Jaelyn for 3 months shortly after April and then mum was here visiting and so the time just flew by. Wow has little cutie Jaelyn grown! Her hair's much longer now and she has much more responses too!

Dinner was at aunty's (Wah Kee) in Clayton as they had to find a "baby-friendly" place. Jaelyn was actually pretty good and sat quietly during the course of dinner. Her favourite was her plastic spoon which she held on to it tightly for the whole time we were there. I tried feeding her and she looked relunctant at first, but eventually gave in. :)
It was only after dinner when the hours went by as we chatted did Jaelyn get a little bored and wanted to move about. So we took turns carrying her to watch the fishes in the tank while the guys chatted. And Aunty took out a toy mat puzzle for her to play with. You can see Tubby in training above. She seemed to have taken an instant liking to him!

On Saturday, we also finally met up with busy-guy Wangwei, Khim and Ellen again. Daniel bro also joined us as it was his last weekend before he flew back to Singapore.

Dinner was "all you can eat" at this Hot Pot restaurant in Glen Waverley and it was yummy! You get two choices of soup base: spicy and normal flavoured. Certainly good for that cold rainy day! After that we retreated to our little hut for some Wii gaming!
You can tell all of us were pretty much engrossed in it except for Ellen who watched from the side. Also being a Lego fan, she preferred to look through my Lego stuff or play with Jasper. We tried getting her to join us in some of the games but she just wasn't into it.

The boys really got into it when we were playing Virtual Tennis, they were literally up and about jumping here and there, especially Khim. And it was just such joy to watch when people have fun! The night ended around 11pm-ish as Khim and Ellen still had to drive all the way back to Pakenham. So that was a pretty fun-filled weekend for us.

RSPCA Million Paws Walk 2010 and a Night of Fun and Games

This year we finally managed to attend the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) Million Paws Walk held at Albert Park. It was a day of fun, competitions and walking to raise funds for the RSPCA to aid in their care of homeless animals. Every year, thousands of animals especially dogs are abandon by their owners and the shelter takes them in and cares for them until someone adopts them.
The walk started at 10am where everyone will walk around the whole of Albert Lake. We kinda arived a bit late and the walk had already started! Check out all the people with their pooches!
"Cup Cake Day" Booth. A day where people baked cup cakes to sell in the city to raise funds for the RSPCA. You can register yourself or your group there at the booth and I bet there were yummy free cupcakes there too!
Four really fluffy, big and adorable Samoyed dogs and their owners who probably share the same love for that breed stopped to have a chat about their fluffy cuties...
And of course there must be the RSPCA Shop selling merchandize like T-Shirts, Tops, Jumpers, Bags, Caps, Stationary and a whole load of stuff for your furry friends too.
$25 gets you a hydro bath - in which the funds also go in the contribution of raising funds for the RSPCA. We had to give Jasper a bath, he was so filty after walking around in the wet morning! You can see he wasn't a happy camper!
Back home at night, he was certainly sleepy and tired after a long and enjoyable day for him. :P

Recently I managed to find a long lost high school friend via facebook and realised that she is living and working in Melbourne! After 11 long years, we finally met up a few weeks ago with King Yen another high school mate. And of course we stayed in touch after that and this was another of our outings where we introduced her to Kal (who's Mr. Bachelor now). ;)

Dinner at the Fish Seafood Grill Restaurant in Docklands. We shared a mix seafood platter which consists of crabs, scallops, prawns, crayfish, oysters and fish! Yummer-licious!
The boys: Dan, Kal and Tubby - not knowing where to start with the huge Seafood platter!
And of course like every group outings, a group shot is a must! Ammie was Daniel's date for the night! haha!
Then after dinner we head on to the Cube Boardgames Cafe on Lygon Street. We started with a good old game of Uno Jenga!!!
Diana was terrified that the tower was so gonna topple on her and after every move, she crept away from the table! :p
And I must say after quite a few rounds, we did pretty well in piling the blocks until Daniel decided to topple it!!!
Next we went on to a game called "Who's that?", recommended by Kal's friend who's one of the owners of the shop. Basically you had to choose 5 characteristics of the person and guess from A to E which is their top priority to the least.

Ammie got full marks score for tubby while I only got 2, can you believe it? LOL. And that ended a night of fun and games which brought us back to childhood. Defnitely fun and should be done again! :)

Gold Coast trip and goodbye to Ralphy...

Okay, finally updates on the Gold Coast trip a couple of weeks ago! Oh man, :( I can't believe 2 weeks have passed already since the trip. It felt like just yesterday! As always, holidays are never long enough! Anyway get ready for visual overload! I took about close to 400 photos and videos - not bad already, considering I thought I'll take more... hehe... Well I just picked out some of my favourites and the rest are on facebook if you're interested:

Hooters Restaurant - where you get good food and sexy waitresses to entertain you!

One of the dishes ordered by Tubby: Hooter's special steak burger with curly fries.

Sexy waitresses putting on their hourly act - which is chair top dancing

A group shot with Joewiz and Len with the hot waitresses!

The stairs leading up to Hard Rock cafe restaurant and the shop was just opposite us! Of course I had to buy some stuff! :p

Wax Museum: Len me and Ghandi! Tubby said he was a lucky bugger. :p

Wax Musuem: Ah my favourite play-writer: William Shakespeare

BBQ at the apartment pool, us greedy girls digging into the food!

Anyway to continue the rest of the photos: Gold Coast: Food, Shopping and Sight-seeing

Next is the 2 theme parks which we managed to visit in the 3 days. Due to the showers and thunderstorms, we didn't have time for Dream World.

The 3 chabohs with their rain coast posing! :p

Clever Sea Lion show! Boy he can dance and do lots of interesting tricks! Good trainers!

Loved the Dolphin show! They are so intelligent and cute and it just makes you wanna care about the environment more after the show to protect them.

Check out the heavy and horrible thunderstorm on the 1st day we went Sea World la. It was so bad the park closed half day. But lucky we got return tickets to go back on the friday.

Outside Movie World! Woohoo! The morning was actually cloudy and rainy. But as we were driving past to go down Brisbane then we saw the sun coming out and decided to head there instead.

The 3 chabohs taking the Batman ride! Super fun lar! Could hear Len screaming like nobody's business. Of course we screamed too, but not as loud as her hehe!

The Looney Toons theatre and of course Looney Tunes performance! Love Bugs Bunny!

Looloo and me with Bugs Bunny!

Ah Scooby-Doo Coaster! Super fun as well! You are brought up and then turned around and you thought you're gonna drop vertically down or something and you actually go down a curve back first!

Central Square where the parade starts and also the other shows presented.

Superman Roller Coaster, 0-100 in like 3 seconds. I still can't believed we were too chicken to take the ride. :(

Me and Len with the evert beautiful "Marilyn Monroe"...

Hollywood Stunt Drivers! Awesome show and hot mitsubishi lancers! heehee!

Scooby-doo bee doo where are you? :D

Batman and his Bat Mobile. The car is so cool in real life hor!

Me with my Bugs Bunny Grammy Award! heehee...

Second day at Sea World, nice sunny weather! Looloo and me with Big Bird!

Seasame Street Land I can't remember the actual name, it's as your can see, for the kiddies!

Hehe, find me find me! Classic shot hor! I was actually posing for the camera man!

Anyway rest of the theme park photos: Gold Coast: Sea World and Movie World

Okay that's the "gist" of it. On another note, Ralphy was sold over the weekend. To cut a long story shot, we finally realised we couldn't love any other dog as much as we loved Jasper and it just wasn't gonna be fair. And so Ralphy is now with a lovely old lady living in the rural area. No more new dogs for us for a long while unless it's Jasper's son I guess...
