Mine mine by Jay Chou from his upcoming new 2011 album

Totally in love with it and have been repeating it for the whole day! Can't wait for his album to come out on 11/11/2011; special date that he chose.

Jay Chou's 2010 ERA Concert

I just watched Jay Chou (周杰伦)'s - The Era concert over the weekend and I was totally blown over by it! The special effects they presented live in front of audiences these days is just fantastic! Thanks heaps to dear Pal who bought the set of DVD and Music CDs for me. It even came with a set nun-chucks imprinted with the concert title. Every concern is different and magical and the last one I watched was his 2007 one.
The special edition album with the set of nuchucks.
There were lots of elaborate stuff and and dancing as well as electronic animations going on throughout the show. Though I didn't like some of his lacy girly costumes, he's still the same great performer. He's so talented and plays quite a few different musical instruments as well. But of course the piano is still his forte. And he's now also a music producer / director, setting up the company called JVR Music. Here's a preview of his ERA 2010 concert:

The DVD also had special back-stage filming showing how he and his crew practiced so hard and organised everything so that the concert will go smoothly. He also has his parents and his beloved grandma who attends a lot of his concerts in the back-stage filming as well. And you can see how much his family means to him in the short clips, its just heart-warming.

I always dreamed of going to Jay Chou's concert live one day. And the closest he has been was in Sydney. He wasn't performing when I was working back in Singapore / Malaysia, though I know his first concert was in 2001. That time I probably wasn't so into him yet and by 2004 I was already here in Melbourne.

So yeah, here's hoping that he will make Melbourne one of his concert destinations in future and there's already a facebook campaign that someone has set up to try and do that, of which I most definitely clicked "YES" on it. 永远周杰伦! :)

Tigger (Denise's visit), Chapel street bazaar and "Build-a-bear" workshop in chadstone.

Dear tigger Denise came to visit a couple of weeks ago. She was here with her sis and her parents for a holiday. We managed to do a bit of catch up and had lunch at Oriental Spoon, a Korean restaurant opposite Melbourne central. It's funny how you can not see or chat to a good friend for awhile and yet when you meet, there is no sense of unfamiliarity at all. ;) Wished we had more time together, but ah well, every amount of time to chat is valuable enough.

Jay Chou Capricon and S.H.E FM
And she brought me the newest Jay Chou - Capricon and FM S.H.E albums! Super happy! They are so expensive to import from Hong Kong or ebay. Especially love Jay's new song - "稻香:Dao Xiang" which is about how people should be contented and with what they have and treasure their love ones and also "时光机:Shi Guang Ji" - Time machine; him playing the cute Doraemon guitar in the Music video. :) S.H.E this also had a few meaningful songs like "宇宙小姐:Yu Zhou Xiao Jie". It's saying girls should love themselves for who they are, something about inner beauty. And I love "安静了:An Jing Le"- a typical love song about a guy not being able to commit.

On Melbourne Cup day (4th Nov), we met up with wang-wang for lunch and then he brought us to this "hidden" bazaar along chapel street. Never knew they had a bazaar there, it was a walkway between the shops that you turn in and boom, there's this place with all these old vintage stuff for sale. Some stuff were old and some were new, but we mostly just browse through as some of the items were pretty costly.

Grabbed myself a love novel for $10 and the Guitar musical box for $12. Liking that the musical box is probably one of a kind now judging from the age of the box. The box had a "Made in Hong Kong" label on it which meant it was imported. It plays Elvis Presley's "Love me tender" and is still working perfectly fine, the guitar sort of turns around a small stand as the music plays. A real "romantic" ornament for the room. :p Heehee...

Over the weekend on our usual trips to Chadstone, we finally passed the "Build-a-bear" workshop. I remember playing the game on my nintendo DS ages ago and always tried to picture how the real shop would look like. Basically, you pick the "skin" of the teddy bear or animal you like (they have dinosaurs, a zebra, polar bear, rabbits and more!) then you bring them to the staff and they fill them up with the stuffing. Then you can buy clothing, shoes, hats and accessories for your newly created stuff toy. It's so cute lar...

There were these bunch of kids, (I think they were on a group trip or something) and they each held a stuff toy while they sat along together for a group photo. I just had to take a shot of them too, it was such a cute sight. I have a few teddy bears and have recently bought two more; one christmas 2008 white bear and the brown colour Target bear. So of course I was tempted to "build-a-bear" for myself too! :p But darling said he'll get me one another time. So heehee, I'm counting on him for it...

Jay Chou's new album, poster, 2008 calendar and Melbourne Trip

This came from the postman yesterday, I'm super happy! His songs got me hooked as usual. You HAVE to go and listen. My Jay is still the same cutie, though now MORE talented, venturing into movies and directing, but I wished he can put on a little bit more weight. :P I've got nothing much to update lately. Was down in Melbourne last Sunday for a Transformer's fan meet. Some of the guys came from Sydney or Brisbane, it was kinda awkward at first and funny too cause everyone was sitting around the table in the food court and there were transformers toys all over the table. :P We had introductions, chatted around for a bit, then went around to the toy stores for a look.

I didn't stay for long cause poor Tubby was waiting for me at Crown, plus I had a large bag full of transformers toys, some of which I got a friend to bring over from Sydney for me. Then one of them gave me two free toys as well as sold me a book for a bargain price. I also bought one more pack of figures from Myer and also my Clinique facial stuff. So yeah it was really heavy. After I met up back with Tubby, we just went to get Asian groceries and made our way back cause we missed Jasper. Might post a pic of the forum guys if I can get the photo from them. Till then, tata for now...

* Ooohhh and for the first time in 6 weeks, our team won the Tennis match against Moe last Saturday. It was also the second time I won all my 3 sets. Yippie! Hope we can keep the good team effort going! :)

New Music Craze, On Life back to Monotony, Cute Jay Chou, New Neighbours and I wanna sing sing sing!

Genie Zhuo Wen Xuan ~ Xi Guan

Currently Listening: Genie Zhuo 卓文宣 ~ 习惯 /Be Used To
Released: Oct 2006

No I'm not being "un-faithful" here, I'm still a loyal Jay Chou and S.H.E supporter. It's just that I'm also open to other artists, genre and type of music as well. And for some reason, this (I thought she was a newbie at first) sweet lass here happened to have the "Oh-so-famous" Liang Shan Bo and Juliet/梁山伯与茱丽叶 song which was played on the radio station, television and my friend's car so repetatively that you would have to be ignoramus not to have heard it before. So I kinda ripped of her songs from my friend's CD and I fell in love with a few of the other songs too -> Winter Orange/冬天的桔子, Long Sleeves/长衣袖, Concoting Happines/幸福调味 and Can or Not/可以不可以. You can find out more about her from ChineseMusicBlog.com

Life's been pretty much mundane since I got back from M'sia/S'pore, as expected. But luckily there are the little things in life that perk you up once awhile like when your boss suddenly comes in and tells you, "Hey, look at this ad here, it's good, I reckon we should display all your ads along the hallway of the office", when I get to go down to Melbourne city and shop, when my pal sends me the latest Jay Chou or S.H.E album, when something exciting happens in the boring place I'm in (dreaming). *Sign* I thank Ying and Serene for keeping me sane sometimes, apart from mum and tubbs. I honestly miss my friends, my "used-to-be" happening life. Anyways I finally got my lazy arse back to playing tennis yesterday evening. The new grip that tubbs put for me on my Wilson racquet definitely made playing much easier. Yeah, I wanna keep playing, at least twice a week.

Then on something more unusual, I discovered another Jay fanatic like me when I was searching for METERS/BONWE a.k.a Jay Chou endorsement. The only difference in this fan is that she blogs about his latest news on her blog in English, she only discovered Jay in June 2006 and she's a Canadian-Born chinese. And her blogging makes it easier for me to read about Jay, rather than the pesky forums that make me go "oh-so-dizzy". Needless to say, I had to steal some awesome photos of Jay from her blog (with her permission of course) and I'm so glad I made a new found friend, who's born in Canada, lives in New York and loves Jay. Cheerios to getting to know you, Doretta. :) And here's pics of adorable, handsome and talented Jay:

I also got chatting to Kal on MSN yesterday. He's gonna to be my next door neighbour next semester. And his house is gonna be one big gambling den with he and his 3 housemates all being poker addicts and yessh all 3 are guys and yessh I have already chosen nick names for them: Beach Boy, Korean Guy and Ah Beng. Well apparently "Ah Beng" is actually a very eligible bachelor, yes eligible in every way you can think of. ;p *wink* And also they wanna invite my female housemate over for dinner one day, because they think she is hot. And no, that housemate is not Sheali because she's back in Malaysia, so you all go figure.

And on a totally different matter, I think I've been listening and singing too much of Genie's songs, so much so that I wish I have a chance to sing on stage again. YES, 我想再次站在台上唱歌.。如果人生有来世, 我想在台湾出世,成为下一位最佳女歌手。
