Cuts, Bruises and Sores & Dinner @ Helen and Michael's last Sunday

I feel so sore today and I mean literally sore. :( This is because the smart ass me went to play basketball yesterday with some rough experts, against the advice of Tubbs and Eileen. And I landed up sprawled on the floor with cuts and bruises on my right elbow, legs and a very sore right hip and left thumb after this egoistic China guy who goes by the name of Lambchops and Iceberg (minus the latter and former respectively) decided to slam me down to the floor when I tried to get the ball from him. And the worse part was he didn't even say sorry! I swear I wanted to kill him there and then :x, but I put on my nicest front and smiled as I walked back towards the side replying Tubbs, "Yeah I'm okay, I'm okay", trying to hold back the tears and ignore the immerse pain.

In consolation, at least Eileen, Zoon, Farah kept asking me if I was alright and a few of the others as well. They are all new students, Zoon is from Malaysia doing biotech and Farah is (I think) Malaysian who's a diplomat's daughter. Zoon was particular caring; he was rushing to his house to get tissue for me as I followed him to wash my wounds and he kept saying sorry even though it was not his fault. It made me feel like punching the china guy even more! :x Anyway, I should stop whingeing and get on to happier things. Here's the photos from our outing last Sunday. We sort of had a little farewell party for mummy.

Dinner at Helen's and Michael's

Left to right: The "kids" playing on the trampoline; At the Dinner Table; Glorious Main courses and Desserts; Playing an Ancient Scandinavian game called Kupp - which is a cross between cricket, bocce ball, and jarts. It involves throwing blocks of wood at other blocks of wood in the attempt to knock them over. And I had to admit I was a blardy sore loser that day or maybe blame it on the hormones, I was displaying a bad front cursing and hitting Tubbs cause he was just so damn good in it. But oh well, everyone has a shitty attitude day. ;)

Group Photo - Dinner @ Helen's

That's all for now, I'ma looking forward to try Eileen and Dominic's cooking tonight(with help from mum) and to enjoy my trip to Bendigo with Tubbs, Mum and Ying over the weekend. So I'll update photos and events on the trip next week. :D Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping tubby's foot gets well soon for the trip.

Happy Chinese New Year 2007

Okay, it's a little late for well wishes, but hey, lunar new year lasts for 20 days right? So here's wishing all my family and friends who are all the way back in Malaysia and Singapore:

Happy Lunar New Year!
Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Chinese New Year 2007
We had our own chinese new year gathering at Lyell's house on CNY day 1. From left is Tubbs, me, Eileen, Ying, Ellen, (Forgot his name), Weiwei and Eric. Front row: Nancy, Weiwei's mum and my mum. Eileen is a new student from singapore and she's like a little sister to us, very chirpy and friendly girl. We had loads to eat as you can see and as usual we did not finish the food again. Then we played Pictionary as well, it was more of like a "shouting" match than guessing game. But it was still fun. ;) Then on day 2, we dressed Jasper up in his CNY outfit, but it was pretty hard to get it on that little fatso. *sigh*

Well, the gathering was good, but I still miss spending chinese new year back home in Malaysia/Singapore. Yes, the ang baos might be one thing, but the other important thing is being able to gather with family members and have lunch or dinner together. It's the time of the year where differences are put apart and everyone just gets down to eating, enjoying themselves and for some, gambling. I was pretty sure Chinatown in Melbourne was quite happening with the parade as well, but somehow the true atmosphere still cannot be truly felt here. If circumstances permit, I wanna spend the next chinese new year back home, home where the true spirit of chinese new year can be experienced. =)

My V-Day Pressie - Yoshi's Island DS and Planning to go Bendigo!

Currently playing Yoshi's Island DS . Twas the game darling got me for my V-day pressie. The funny part was that this is the first time we are actually spending V-day together in the same place, but we decided not to bother making it a big hoo-ha at all. Dinners were too expensive; They were a minimum cost of $90 bucks per person in posh restaurants here, plus mummy's around and we kinda have 2 new friends who've recently join our clique and have been hanging with us for most of the time as well. :)

Anyway, yessh I'm soooo FREE that I actually had time to go to the Yoshi's Island website for a look since I'm so hooked on the game and it is one of the highest rated games (9.2!) from GameSpot. It's one of the best adventure/platformers that I've ever played and the characters are super cute! Well, I had a hard time trying to find the wallpapers because you had to explore the whole site clicking on stuff before you can "find" 'em, so I thought I'd share with people here. Sorry though, I only downloaded the (1024 x 768 px) ones. Just click on 'em and they will open to full size.

Plus, I suddenly had a crazy idea on Monday to plan a trip for mummy before she goes back home. (Actually I myself wanted a holiday also!) Well, so I decided we should go to Bendigo! A short 3D2N trip since I can't afford to take too many days leave again. So accomodation is booked, car rental TBA by tubbs; Bendigo, here we come! And Nooooo, I haven't forgotten about the shopping I've done! The cropping and editing of the clothings and accessories is on its way! ;)
